Baggage rules

Checked baggage

The airline determines the norms of free transportation of checked baggage, depending on the fare paid and the travel route. In case of exceeding the allowed norms of checked baggage, an additional fee is set.

Carry-on baggage

Hand baggage is unchecked baggage that passengers can take with them to the salon. It is included in the total weight of baggage, which can be carried free of charge.
Manual carry-on baggage allowance for carriage in the cabin depends on the selected fare and is set directly by the airline. This should be taken into account for complex flights with the participation of different shipping companies, since each of them may have different standards for the carriage of hand baggage and checked baggage.

Baggage Allowance

When making flights, baggage allowances are established on the basis of the number of seats — piece concept and weight — weight concept.
Determination of baggage allowance by the number of seats is applied on some flights to the USA, Canada, Central and South America, as well as on certain domestic flights. It provides the same standards for all passengers, regardless of age and fare. One luggage space has a weight of up to 23 kg, the sum of the parameters of height, width and length should not exceed 158 cm. Each passenger can carry 2 luggage spaces for free.
The definition of free transportation by weight depends on the fare paid and directions. In this case, all passengers except children under 2 years are entitled to free baggage.
Most airlines adhere to the following free baggage allowance by weight: for economy class 20 kg; for business class 30 kg. If, according to the rules of the carrier airline, an increase in these standards is permitted, this must be indicated on the ticket. In case of exceeding the weight of the norm, each extra kilogram is estimated from 1.2 to 1.5% of the selected tariff.
Free baggage allowance by weight is determined by summing up the height, width and length. Depending on the class, they are: 158 cm for the economy class and 203 cm for the first and business class.

Prohibited Baggage

The rules of all airlines prohibit the transport of: construction and powder guns, rocket launchers and accessories for light signals; electron beam weapons; gas cartridges with potent, poisonous, tear and neuroparalytic gases; stun guns (does not apply to medical equipment); explosive and combustible substances and objects containing them, easily flammable liquids and all gases; potent, corrosive, radioactive, caustic and toxic substances.
